Our Staff
Dr. Robert Emmet Kenney is an academically trained General Internist with more than 30 years of experience in the medical field. He is an expert on evidence-based medicine and value based care. Dr. Kenney earned his MD and PhD from the University of Miami, and trained at the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Yale University School of Medicine where he also served as Chief Resident and Associate Faculty.
He has held leadership roles in all aspects of the Health Care System from Academic postings to Chief Medical Officer of a Medicare Advantage Plan. Dr. Kenney is passionate about the delivery of the most accurate and up to date care to patients, and has worked on many levels to improve work and information flow in the primary care setting. He recently left his role as Senior Medical Director at Cano Health, a leading value-based primary care provider and is currently practicing Internal Medicine and serving as Medical Director at The Ann and Joe Day Medical Center in Florida.

Johanna is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She obtained her Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty of Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University.
Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Kelley Pekarsky is certified through the American Nursing Credentialing Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida’s College of Nursing. Kelley has a passion for working with the elderly population and patients with dementia.
Her background includes working six years as a nurse practitioner in the nursing home environment. Kelley is very excited to be the Care Navigator of the new CMS GUIDE program at Day Primary Clinic. She has already seen the amazing benefits of the program for both persons with dementia and their caregivers since its start in July 2024.
